2 Weeks ago i found this lovely little garage on the internet and was looking for a car at the time. Finding the exact car i wanted, being sold by the garage i decided i would have it. After a restless 250 mile journey i arrived at the garage happy to see my new car (it is 2nd hand). Taking breif looks at the car i had realised that the garage had already told false stories about the car. It turned out the central locking didnt even work like was said and it had done 10k more miles than what i was told on the phone. The Central heating only worked on number 4 and the car couldnt idle, whenever you get to traffic lights it would cut out. So anyway i thought that i still loved the car and that the problems it had weren't going to put me off. I carried on and purchased the car. A week and a half later and bang, i was returning from college and that was it the ECU went and my wallet lost £250+VAT. I rung the garage and as polite as i was they offered no help as the warranty did state that no electrical faults where covered, which is fair enough. I asked if i was to send the ECU back to him would he get it fixed at his expense, he then went on to say that i could be sending him a ECU from another car.... come on this guy runs a garage and he doesn't even know that ECUs are unique to cars... i couldnt help but feel skeptic. The cheek of the welsh dealer to then offer me my money back minus £300 for a weeks wear and tear also telling me that i had to get the undriveable car back to him.... 250miles. Looking at the expensis ahead of me i decided that it would be alot cheaper to pay for the ECU myself.
