Shoboraj Restaurant

Thought we'd try somewhere new for our saturday night takeaway. Nothing too exciting, the usual combination of 2 currys, rice, chips, naan bread and a few nibbles for good measure. I was told the meal would arrive within 45 mins (was informed it would probably be sooner as we live 5 minutes away) and that I would be called back to confirm the price, rather than keep me on the phone. One hour later, there was no sign of the meal and no phone call. Was told when I called them after an hour that the driver had just left, 5 minutes later he is at the door - meal came to £18.60 - a little more expensive than i was expecting. As we opened everything with anticipation (and hunger!) it became apparent that nothing was hot - so it had obviously been sat around for some time. The only thing with any heat was the chips - and they werent all cooked thoroughly! I did call them to let them know the meal was not what I was expecting (for the money the portions were very small - we usually have enough left over for seconds the next day!) and was told that they could send some replacements but it wouldnt be for some time (after already waiting an hour I declined) they did offer to give me a discount on my next meal but I refused that also - once bitten and twice shy! Think we will stick to our usual takeaway from now on (cant go wrong with Little India in Maindee - and they have a £10 meal deal BARGAIN!)
