Direct Debit Disaster!

I attempted to take out a contract in Feb 2006 but failed in the credit check - since then I have just gone through my last months statement and noticed that I am having £29.95 debited from my account - when queried with my bank they advised me that the direct debit has been going out to the carphone warehouse since Mar 2006!! This just proves how unorganised and incompetent the company is - I am still trying to get my money back because why should I pay all that money out for a contract that never existed?? Scandalous!!!
