Ruined my wife's 40th birthday!

We had Forever Fotos booked for yesterday. We were due to attend a studio session, but when they sent me directions on the morning, it was to their house. I phone and asked for an explanation, and they admitted they hadn't been able to book a studio. I wasn't too happy - they should have let me know, but I said we'd go ahead with the session, as long as they waived the �£25 studio fee. They agreed. Then, an hour before the session, they texted me to say they had to cancel because their "light transmitter is not working." I tried calling home and mobile numbers; no answer. (I thought maybe we could do some outdoor shots instead,) Since we couldn't contact them, we went to their house to see if we could speak to them in person. They were in (car in drive, windows open etc.) but did not answer the door. We are gutted! We were all really looking forward to this session. We'd all had our hair cut specially that morning, and the kids (age 2 and 6) were really excited. And my wife's 40th birthday treat is ruined. :( Never again!
